Two young people were tragically killed and twenty-eight others were injured when a shooting broke out during a lively block party in Baltimore. Details of the catastrophe are trickling out as the city deals with its shock and loss.
The Victims and the Wounded
Two young people, an 18-year-old lady, and a 20-year-old man, had their bright futures cut short by this terrible act of violence.
The young lady, unfortunately, died on the spot, while the young guy battled bravely but died later at a local hospital from his wounds.
In addition to the fatalities, the event also resulted in 28 wounded people who were caught in the crossfire.
Emergency personnel responded quickly and sent nine injured people to hospitals; another 20 patients made it to adjacent medical facilities.

In addition, four more kids have been sent to the pediatric emergency room of the same medical institution, where they will get the specific care they need.

After 12:30 a.m., law enforcement agencies reacted quickly to several distress calls, thrusting them into a chaotic scene where fear reigned.
Acting Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley vowed to get the truth as detectives methodically combed through a large crime scene.
There is widespread fear and confusion in the neighborhood since no suspects or motives have been established.

Brandon Scott, mayor of Baltimore, called the attack a “reckless, cowardly” crime that changed the lives of many people forever and took the lives of two innocent people.
The community block party in Brooklyn, which had been a happy celebration, turned into a terrifying event. The neighborhood’s working-class pride and Mayor Scott’s continuous support for it were highlighted.
